Anytime sign uses solvent screen printing to make rear printed decals for the most demanding applications, like gas pumps and equipment made of Polypropylene or other Low Surface Energy plastic. Other aplications include vehicles and conveyances where frequent cleanings and public abuse and vandalism takes place such as on trains, buses, cabs, amusement park rides, cable cars, etc.. Solvent screen printing is MUCH better than digital printing and also better than UV screen printing. WHY SOLVENT SCREEN PRINTING IS BEST.

We solvent screen print the backside of polycarbonate and mylar, and then apply 3M glues. The most durable decal will be a rear-printed or sometimes caled a sub-surface printed decal with 3M glues put over the screenprinted image. We make sub-surface decals for companies that manufacture machinery that get alot of abuse. We use 3M 300 LSE adhesive when the surface the decal is to be applied polypropylene.

Polypropylene is one of the most difficult plastics to adhere to. The "LSE" in 3M 300LSE refers to "Low Surface Energy". This is a closeup of a 5mil polycarbonate sub-surface screen printed decal to show the matt finish. Polycarbonate is also available with a gloss finish. The advantage of a matt finish is it does not show fingerprints. If the decal is applied to a surface which will be frequently touched, rubbed, scrapped and cleaned, have us quote the decal with 3M 300LSE glue - it will save you money in the long run. Children will not be able to peel it off the surface.

This may surprise you, but many outdoor decals that are sold on the internet are digitally printed. Look carefully at what they say about outdoor longevity. One of the biggest sellers admits "5 years". If you only need a decal to last 5 years, buy digital. They look beautiful for a few years, and they're less expensive because they can be made quickly and shipped out within 24 hours.
